our own women: not walking wounded;
but, wells of wisdom; as in a war zone;
ever week; women; are willy-nilly wasted.
STOP THESE WAVES OF WAILING!

our own mothers; not mincemeat;
but, moving monuments of magnanimity; as if in market;
every morning; our own mothers are mercilessly mutilated.
STOP THESE MASS MURDERS!

our own sisters; not stake for sale;
but, soulful of sweetness; as if in a sorrowful sequel;
every second; our own sisters; are severely stabbed.
STOP THESE SICK SIDESHOWS!

our own maiden; not manna;
but, mecca’s of merrymaking; as if in a mad movie;
every month; our own maidens are molested.
STOP THESE MACABRE MESSES!

our own grannies; not game for groping;
but, gifts of goodwill; as if a gulag;
every grey hour; our own grannies; become gadget for sexual gratification.
TOP THESE GORY GENESIS!

our own girlfriends; not gyrating gig;
but, goddesses of gentleness; as if in a gangster game;
every grey night; our own girlfriends are gruesomely gunned down
STOP THESE GROSS GAMBLE!

our own relations; not rape rallies;
but, romantic rites of reasoning; as if in a riot;
every rest time; our own relations turns to ruins.
STOP THESE REPULSIVE RULES!

our own children; not concubines;
but, conveyors belts charm; as if in a crime chapter;
every cold night; children are callously condemned.
STOP THESE CALCULATED CRIMES!

our own daughters; not delectable dolls;
but, deity of diligence; as if in a dreaded documentary;
every day; our own daughters; witnesses dreams deferred.
STOP THESE DEMONIC DRAMAS!

our own toddlers; not tantalizing toys;
but, treasures to take care of; as if in a tasteless testament;
every time; toddlers are terrorized.
STOP THESE TRAUMATISISNG TRENDS!

our own families; not foe’s festivals
but, floodgates of fun; as if in a fistfight festival;
every frequent; our own families; face femicide.
STOP THESE FAHIONABLE FIGHTS!

our own lovers; not lust laboratories;
but, linkages of love; as if in a labour ward;
every moment; lovers turn into libation of blood;
STOP THESE LICKING OF LIFE!

I've been trying (unsuccessfully so far) to obtain a copy of the following document. Gould, H. (1996) The Art of Survival, Investigating creativity in humanitarian aid and development. Working Paper 3, Comedia. It will be too late to be utilised for my MA thesis but I am still very keen to read it. Can you help?

I am interested in how creative arts and activities are contributing to social change and transformation of societies. My current research focuses on the rural Mayan communities in Guatemala who have been marginalised and persecuted over the decades with years of civil war scarring their identities, community cohesiveness and ability to obtain representation as citizens. Widespread poverty, social exclusion, malnutrition and socially embedded norms of violence are topics that are being addressed through the creative arts to generate discussion and change.
